🌶️ Founder of the Month: William Beck of IC SPICY
This month, T3kNo-Logic is proud to feature the veteran and chef behind IC SPICY, a project that turns personal hardship into decentralized hope.
The founder, a disabled OIF/OEF combat veteran, started growing rare peppers as therapy for PTSD. This hobby took on a profound new meaning when his son, Kalib, was diagnosed with aggressive T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-ALL) in April 2024. Facing crushing medical and survival expenses, the founder used his time in hospital waiting rooms to learn code on the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP).
IC SPICY was born from this fight: a multichain ecosystem dApp built around a Rust-based SpicyAI canister that helps users grow food, share cultivation knowledge, and connect with a community. It is a genuine Web3 project built with the mission of family, growth, and resilience, turning a personal battle into a community-owned platform for good.
How You Can Support the Mission
The IC SPICY project is currently striving for a professional code audit and an SNS launch to ensure its long-term success. You can help this mission keep building for Kalib and the community:
- Purchase IC SPICY Merch: Support the family directly by purchasing IC SPICY merchandise in the dedicated collection on our site.
- Donate Crypto: Direct donations of ICP, ckBTC, or ckUSDC can be sent to the address: sh7h6-b7xcy-tjank-crj6d-idrcr-ormbi-22yqs-uanyl-itbp3-ur5ue-wae.
- Developers: Volunteer to help audit the dApp or assist with the SNS launch preparation.
Every action, whether a purchase, a donation, or a line of code, helps fuel Kalib’s hope and the growth of this incredible Web3 project. Built with love, fueled by fire.
